They say " Custom content is different; it’s about giving your shoppers information that they can’t get anywhere else and making that content so appealing that your supermarket brand becomes known as the definitive destination". Essentially they say grocers already have great content… just scattered in many places. A Social Media platform will aggregate this data and help the consumer which improves the shopping and brand experience.
In the grocery business it is not enough to have high search engine rankings, it is now even more critical to have high Social Media rankings, creative and helpful content generation and superb customer engagement out there in the “blogosphere”. So if you go to your favorite WalMart, Target or Trader Joes and notice the shelves are set bit different or you see a different product assortment in the store, that’s because they are listening to the consumer and responding to hyper-local consumer demand.
