I am happy to be part of the ProHatch Experts group and look forward to covering food entrepreneurs using their platform to go from The Kitchen… to the Shelf… to the Consumers Plate.
ProHatch , is the latest platform promoting the enterprise value of donation, reward, equity and lending crowdfunding as a game changing capital ladder for social impact, business and community entrepreneurs, and provider of a one-of-a-kind Phase-To-RaiseTM crowdfunding platform
Crowdfunding Incubator Scholarship Program
Today they announced the top five winning businesses of their first Crowdfunding Incubator Scholarship Program. Winners were selected based on a number of key criteria including the depth of their business planning and innovation, their social impact, their ability to deliver results, and because their stories are incredibly compelling for "the crowd".
"We are extremely excited about the projects we have awarded scholarships to. All of them have very compelling stories that highlight the innovative products, services and businesses they will bring to their respective markets and the Crowd." said Liz Kulik, Co-Founder of ProHatch. "At ProHatch, what sets us apart is we look for projects that meet these standards of social and community impact".
As part of the Extended Incubator Program, the Scholarship Winners have received an array of customized services, including additional crowdfunding training, free access to CrowdBuilder (a Social Media and Publicity Execution platform), and free business and social consulting from ProHatch's advisory service leaders.
Phase to Raise Program
ProHatch's unique Phase-To-RaiseTM crowdfunding process truly differentiates their brand from the plethora, OK a large and confusing variety of crowdfunding platforms.
Why I like Phase-To-RaiseTM is it provides a framework for the Entrepreneur to insure social, business and financial transparency and accountability. It is quite similar to the business plan process and but far simpler to create and for investors (donors) to understand.
Most entrepreneurs don't need and should not get the full amount of funding they desire since most business plans or business models change as the business evolves. I gave a talk on ProHatch TV for their Session II Crowdfunding Incubator, Crowdfunding is a Business… Are You Prepared where I discussed how to integrate the Business Model Canvas into their Phase to Raise platform. The Business Model Canvas is in my opinion the replacement for the tired, old, and inflexible business plan.
Phase to Raise breaks up the overall fundraising goal into 30 day campaigns, and, awards… these Phases align fundraising with plans for business launch in digestible steps.
Each Phase consists of the following
Costs (or Uses of Funds) - which equal the funding goal
Three Pre-Scheduled Post Funding Milestones which can be delivered as Video, Photos or a Narrative
Phase-To-Raise helps protect investor/donor risk by requiring business owners and entrepreneurs to deliver three milestone reports per Phase, tracking how funds awarded were used to execute the plan being funded. Phase-to-Raise is the only platform that delivers funding to entrepreneurs for their business ideas every 30 days, instead of waiting for long periods of time to actually realize funding at the end of a campaign. Phase-To-RaiseTM offers "All-or-Nothing" funding for business and personal projects and "Everything Funds" for philanthropy projects - and - takes projects through four key steps… Build, Broadcast, Fund and Deliver.
An Example Crowdfunding Pitch and Rewards
