Every month is captured for something and no surprise October is National Pizza Month.

Discover Fan Loyalty found pizza (23%) is the favorite gameday snack among college football fansThe Discover Fan Loyalty survey found pizza (23%) is the favorite gameday snack among college football fans, edging out wings (15%).  Given the number one and two choices here are not positioned as "better for you",  46% of college football fans say gameday calories don't count. Are there some healthy football fans? 10 percent of fans say they don't overeat or drink on game day.

Here are the "tailgate" snacks that get share of stomach for football fans:

  • Pizza: 23%
  • Wings: 15%
  • Chips and Dip: 14%
  • Nachos: 8%
  • Hot dogs or sausage: 6%
  • Pretzels : 4%
